4/26/18. View of the Cumberland River from the Lodge.
One of my favorite views of the Cumberland River, but looking very different this year. Seems things are in a much earlier stage,
Cumberland Falls after a rain.
I have never seen this mini-falls above the main falls before.
This section above the falls usually has very dry and interesting rocks.
4/27/18. A morning walk along one of the trails I usually check for wildflowers. It is below the lodge. These are bluets, still wet from the overnite rain.
Fire Pinks.
Fleabane.
Bellwort.
Yellow Star Grass
Chickweed
Wood Betony
Mini Landscape with snail shell.
Dwarf Crested Iris amid assorted leaves
Wet funnel spider web.
Wild Ginger with buds at the base.
Purple violet pushing it way through an assortment of leaves.
5/01/18. On the way home, I stopped at Natural Bridge. The following shots are from the Garden Trail. These are Longspur Violets.
