072419. Another Monarch on Swamp Milkweed. Haven't ID'd it's beetle friend yet.

  • Female Calico Pennant, Celethemis elisa,  072419.  Crook Street Wetlands.  This species got scarce for a few years locally, but seems to be on a comeback.
  • Eastern Amberwing female, Perithemis tenera.  072419, Crook Street Wetlands.
  • 072419.  Another Monarch on Swamp Milkweed.  Haven't ID'd it's beetle friend yet.
  • 072619.  Obedient plant just starting bloom, but already being sought out by a pollinating Bumble Bee.
  • Ruby Meadowhawk, dorsal view.  072619, Crook Street Wetlands.
  • Eastern Pondhawk, Erythemis simplicicolis male.  Chomping away on some prey.  7/26/19, Grafton Ohio.
