Several American Rubyspots, just about the only Odes we saw, and also a nymph, which I did not photograph.

  • A little background.
  • The color on these Fall Phlox caught me.
  • Seeds on the Japanese Knotweed are something you really don't want to see.
  • Paine Falls had almost no water in it, since we are having a drought, and the trails were closed, so we went down the road a bit.

  • When I first came upon this sign, the vegetation was covering most of the sign. I just saw "Warning, River Closed" and momentarily wondered how you close a river.
  • Next couple are scenes along the Creek.

  • A few isolated and tired Sneezeweed .
  • The sun came out for a while.
  • Fish Fly Larva. A new one for me! Formidable looking.
  • Several American Rubyspots, just about the only Odes we saw, and also a nymph, which I did not photograph.
  • A Pickerel Frog which alternated between sitting very quietly for us to examine it, and jumping rapidly away.
  • Find the rather small Question Mark butterfly.
