  • We stopped for lunch at Paraiso Quetzal Lodge, which had feeders set up, and a large population of Fiery Throated Hummingbirds.
  • They are indigenous to this high altitude area.

  • Fiery Throated Hummingbird. This one was so tame, you thought he might get on your hand.

  • And I love lichens!
  • The trees outside were loaded with Bromeliads and Lichens.

  • Back to the Lodge. This Hummingbird sat on her nest in an arbor outside the Lodge. Nothing seemed to bother her.
  • This one stopped me but it is a Tropical Mockingbird, not a Northern.
  • And good-bye to my cabin in Savegre.
