  • April 15. Into the woods next door. Wildflowers starting nicely. These Hepatica were lovely, but on a very steep slope above the Black River.
  • April 26. Frosted tulips, same morning.

  • April 16. Strange bird at the leaning birdfeeder.
  • April 17. Deadnettle finally made it into full bloom after trying since January.
  • April 17. Magnolia tree in the front of my house is in early bloom.
  • April 17. Another sign of Spring. As I went down the muddy alley to let the horses up to the barn, here comes the Snapper doggedly headed to the pond. The horses came to a screeching halt when they saw it. Taken with my phone.
  • April 18. Travel day. Redbuds were in full bloom in Kentucky and no place to pull over and capture them. This is the DuPont lodge in the Cumberland Falls State Park.

  • April 27. Finally got the Spring Beauties in full bloom at Crook Street.
  • April 28. Pear blossom. Frost didn't hurt them and my pear tree is totally loaded.
