Let's hope April does not turn out to be the cruelest month!

Indian Hollow

  • April 1. African Violet semi-abstract.
  • April 1. Thought I was done for the day but when I came out to feed the horses, the sunset was spectacular. And of course, all I had was my phone!
  • April 2. I am re-posting this picture from last month. Tiger passed away today. He was a good cat.
  • April 3. A strawflower plant I brought in last fall has broken out into lots of small blossoms.
  • April 4. This is what the crocuses looked like this morning.
  • April 4. But by afternoon, they were blooming away, and loaded with honeybees.
  • April 5. Indian Hollow. Someone spend a fair amount of time and energy on this. I hope they turn their talents to something besides defacing trees in a park!
  • April 5. Indian Hollow. The only color in this area of the Black River is the blue reflected from the sky, and this fisherman's clothes! Must be Spring!
  • April 6. Crook Street Wetlands. Found another sign of Spring!
  • April 6. A little heavy on Crocuses lately, but that's what there is, and they aren't around long. And besides, I like them.
  • April 7. Cleaning out around some flower beds, and look what I found!
  • April 8. I think these white crocuses must bloom a little later. Most of my other ones are gone.
  • April 9. Daffs are starting.
  • April 9. Found this striped one off by itself. The stripes seem more prominent than on the earlier ones.
  • April 10. Pouring rain and thunderstorms. Back to a different view of the gerbera daisies.
  • April 11. Crook Street Wetland. Took a walk in between the showers. Not sure why this Robin needed a bath after all the rain we had!
  • April 11. Crook Street Wetlands. Checked for ephemeral wildflowers. No blooms, but lots of buds. These Spring Beauties should bloom by the weekend.
  • Untitled photo
  • April 13. Backlit daffodils at the CBG.
  • April 14. Crook Street Wetlands. Beautiful male Eastern Towhee. His mate was there, too.
